After you configured your email client to use the QuickLock email account, you can send/receive emails as usual. QuickLock does not change the way you send or receive emails.

Using QuickLock webmail
You may also access your QuickLock emails using a web browser. To use QuickLock webmail, use your favorite web browser and go to https://m.2626mail.com and login using your QuickLock.email address and password.

Sending email to another QuickLock user
If you set up QuickLock's Protection Method to "protects [QuickLock] users" (default), emails sent to another QuickLock user will be automatically locked using the recipient's own personal password.
If you set up QuickLock Protection Method to "do not protect by default", emails sent will not be locked and are sent as is.

Emails sent to a non QuickLock user will be delivered as is with a tag line and a link that allow the recipient to register as a QuickLock user easily.

Receiving emails
An email sent to a QuickLock email address will be locked by default unless the recipient's QuickLock Protection Method was set to "do not protect by default".

Reading QuickLock emails
Locked email contents (including attachments if any) is encrypted in a PDF attached to the email. To see the locked contents, use your favorite PDF viewer (e.g. Adobe Reader DC) to open the PDF.

- Enter the password when prompted.
- The PDF viewer displays the protected contents.
- Click on the "Attachment list" to see a list of attachments (if any). You may double-click an attachment to open/view the contents.
- Save the attachment(s) if needed.
Using email Subject Commands
A Subject Command is a command string you can specify in the email subject to lock/unlock the email message.
All Subject Commands must be enclosed by "{{ SubjCmd }}" and can appear anywhere in the subject of the email, where "SubjCmd" in this illustration is an command which can be:
"L" - lock the email, with optional password parameter using the parameter delimiter "||"
e.g.
{{ L || red+orange }}
This will "lock" the email using "red+orange" as the password.

This will "lock" the email using the recipient's password (if the recipient is a QuickLock email user).
"L" can be used:
"UL" - do not lock the email

- to force QuickLock to lock the email regardless of whether the recipient is a QuickLock user or not.
- to specify an ad-hoc password to override the usual password used by the recipient.
"UL" - do not lock the email
e.g.

This will send the email without locking.
"UL" can be used:
- to override the QuickLock Protection Method setting of "protect [QuickLock] users".
- to force QuickLock NOT to lock the email regardless of whether the recipient is a QuickLock user or not.
